An office favourite, we all counted the days until Linda’s next batch of butter tarts! Easy to make, especially if you use the pre-packaged frozen shells.
Linda’s Butter Tarts
Servings: 12 tarts
Ingredients
- 12 frozen butter tart shells, thawed
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp butter, melted
- 1 egg
- 1 pinch of salt
- 2 tbsp corn syrup (or maple syrup)
- ⅓ tsp vanilla
- ½ cup raisins
- 2 tbsp hot water
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400℉.
- Place the shells on a baking sheet.
- Mix all the ingredients together.
- Spoon mixture into the shells, filling each ⅔ full.
- Bake until filling is bubbly and pastry is golden, about 15 minutes.
