This cheese sauce with herbs is quite versatile, very nice on fish as well as chicken.
Cheese Sauce for Fish
Servings: 1 cup
Ingredients
- 1½ tsp all-purpose flour
- 6 tbsp milk
- ¼ cup Cheddar cheese
- 4 tsp Parmesan cheese
- ¾ tsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp parsley
- ½ tsp dill
- ¼ tsp basil
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 2 tsp lemon juice
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine flour and milk until smooth. Bring to a boil, cook and stir until thickened.
- Add cheese and Dijon mustard, stir until melted.
- Add lemon juice, herbs and pepper. Serve immediately over fish.
