It’s green bean season and here’s a Middle Eastern-inspired sauce to dress them up! Adapted from a recipe by Molly Yeh on Foodnetwork.com, this little sauce is excellent on any meat or vegetables.
Green Beans with Tahini Sauce
Ingredients
- 12 oz green beans, trimmed
- ½ tsp olive oil
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 tbsp soy sauce (low sodium)
- 3 tbsp tahini
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- ¼ tsp ground ginger
- ½ lemon, juiced
- ¼ cup cilantro, chopped
- 1 tbsp water
- ½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a cast iron skillet. Add green beans to the skillet, season with salt, and cook over medium-heat until the beans are tender, 7-10 minutes.
- In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce, tahini, honey, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, lemon juice, cilantro, water, red pepper flakes. Drizzle over the beans, and lightly toss to combine. Plate and serve.
